Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about VeaHome, VeaHub and Plus: your devices, installation, power, privacy and support.

Getting started

5 questions
What is VeaLife, and what is VeaHome?

VeaLife is the company. VeaHome is the app experience that brings compatible devices, rooms, scenes and routines together. VeaHub and VeaHub Pro are hardware options, and VeaHome Plus is the subscription for managed services.

How do I get started?

Tell us which rooms you want to connect and which devices you already own. A free consultation turns that into a practical plan: what can be reused, what needs a bridge, and what a first useful routine looks like.

Do I need to know anything technical?

No. We handle selection, setup and tuning. You should end up with a home that behaves the way you described, and an app you can hand to anyone in the house.

What happens in the first conversation?

We go through your devices and their exact models, how you would like the home to behave, and which parts should keep working without the internet. You get a setup you can start small with and extend later.

Can I start with one room?

Yes, and most homes should. One room proves the routines you actually want. VeaHub and the Vea devices are designed to be added to, so the second room is an extension rather than a restart.

Your devices and ecosystems

6 questions
Do I need to replace the devices I already own?

Often you can keep them. We check the exact model, integration and connection method. Home Assistant offers 1,500+ integrations across devices and services; that is ecosystem breadth, not a promise that every model or feature is available in VeaHome.

Which brands work with VeaHome?

Familiar names like Tuya, Sonoff, Aqara, Govee, Shelly, Philips Hue, IKEA, Samsung, LG ThinQ, Daikin, Midea, Roborock and Yale, through the Home Assistant ecosystem. Which functions are available depends on the model, so we confirm yours before you buy anything.

Does it work with Alexa, Apple Home, Google Home or SmartThings?

Yes. Keep what already works and migrate at your own pace. Supported devices and scenes can be brought into VeaHome, and suitable controls can still be shared back with the ecosystem your household is used to.

What about Matter, Thread and Zigbee?

All three are part of the picture, along with Z-Wave, KNX, Modbus, MQTT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, infrared and 433 MHz RF. The radio, hub or adapter a device needs depends on the device — that is exactly what the compatibility review settles.

Can VeaHome control my cameras?

Compatible IP cameras and recorders connect through ONVIF and RTSP, and brands such as Reolink, EZVIZ, Hikvision, Imou and Ring have their own integrations. Live view, recording and events depend on what the camera itself exposes.

What about appliances that were never smart?

That is what VeaBlaster is for. Air conditioners, TVs, receivers and older remote-controlled equipment join through infrared or 433 MHz RF, and circuits and older switches can be brought in with VeaSwitch or VeaRelay.

VeaHome, VeaHub and Plus

6 questions
Can I use VeaHome Plus without a hub?

Yes, for supported cloud-connected integrations. Plus uses integrations hosted on our servers. Devices that need a local radio or bridge still require suitable hardware in the home.

How are VeaHub and VeaHub Pro different?

VeaHub provides device connectivity and supported local control paths. It does not put the full Home Assistant engine in the home. VeaHub Pro is the local-engine product direction: Home Assistant, routines and private processing run on hardware in your home.

Does VeaHub Pro require a subscription?

The planned Pro offer has no mandatory VeaLife subscription for local Home Assistant operation and local AI features. Optional managed services and any third-party paid services are separate. Hardware, supported functions and availability are confirmed for your setup.

Is the AI butler fully local?

Local AI is part of the VeaHub Pro product direction. It is being developed and validated for the hardware, supported commands and languages. It should help with useful home actions and suggestions; full offline conversational capability is not a launch promise.

Is there an app for iPhone and Android?

VeaHome is built for both. It follows your phone's light or dark appearance, or you can pin one in Settings. Ask us for the current build and what is available on your device today.

Can I order every Vea product now?

The Vea ecosystem includes products and configurations at different development stages. Ask for a demo and a compatibility review to confirm current availability. The store separately lists devices available through our existing retail catalogue.

Installation and setup

4 questions
Do I need professional installation?

Not always. Plug-in devices, bulbs and many bridges are straightforward and rental-friendly. Anything behind a wall switch, in a distribution board or spanning several systems is work for our team, who install, verify and calibrate the scenes end to end.

How long does it take?

A single room is usually a short visit. A whole home depends on how much wiring, how many systems and how many routines are involved — we give you a scope and a schedule after the review rather than a number before it.

I rent. Can I take it with me?

Most of it, yes. We can plan a setup around plug-in and wireless devices that leave no trace, and keep anything that touches wiring optional. Tell us at the review and we will design for the move.

What if something stops working later?

Message us. Most issues are diagnosed remotely, because we can see how the setup was configured. Email, phone and WhatsApp all reach the same team.

Power, internet and privacy

6 questions
What happens if the internet goes down?

A supported local connection can keep local controls working. Hosted integrations, cloud-only devices and remote access need an internet connection. A VeaHub Pro setup with local devices is designed to keep its local routines operating at home; it still needs power.

What happens during a power cut?

Everything in a home automation system needs power, including the hub and the devices. We plan for the way homes here actually run: the hub and the network on backup so the system is awake when the power is, devices that return to a sensible state when they come back, and routines that do not fire nonsense in the gap.

Does it work with a generator or solar?

Yes, and it is one of the better reasons to connect a home here. Compatible meters, inverters and smart plugs let VeaHome show what is drawing power and when, so you can move heavy loads off the expensive hours. What can be read depends on the equipment you have.

How secure is it?

We prefer local control paths wherever a device supports them, so fewer things depend on someone else's server. Accounts are protected in transit, and we choose vendors with clear data policies. A cloud-only device still follows its manufacturer's rules, and we tell you which ones those are.

Where does my data live?

As close to home as the setup allows. A local engine keeps home data and routines in the house; Plus keeps managed integrations on our servers; a cloud-only brand keeps its own. The review makes clear which of your devices falls into which.

Do you sell my data?

No. VeaLife does not sell personal data. We collect what is needed to deliver and support your system. The privacy policy sets out the detail.

Buying, support and care

6 questions
How much does it cost?

It depends on how many rooms and devices are involved and how much can be reused, so we quote after the compatibility review rather than guessing up front. Devices we stock are priced in the shop, and we will tell you when something you already own makes a purchase unnecessary.

What about warranty?

Hardware carries its manufacturer's warranty, which varies by brand and model — we tell you what a specific device comes with before you order. Our own work on the setup is supported by us.

Can I return a device?

Returns follow the policy of the vendor the device came from. The better path is to ask first: the compatibility review exists so that you buy the right part once.

How do I reach support?

Email info@vealive360.com, call or message +961 79 089 428 on WhatsApp, or use the contact form for anything that is not urgent.

Are updates free?

App and manufacturer firmware updates are part of owning the system. Optional care visits, new integrations and scene work beyond the original setup are quoted separately.

Do you offer maintenance?

Yes, as an option: periodic check-ups, priority response and refinements to your routines as the way you use the home changes.
